In China’s Tibet, the material known as “old fish bone” is scientifically called mother-of-pearl. Tibetans refer to it as “old fish bone,” and it is crafted from the shells that produce pearls. Our beads are made from high-quality Australian white mother-of-pearl, which possesses a radiant shine, a translucent jade-like quality, and a strong jewel-like appeal. It is neither horse-hoof conch nor giant clam shell, and certainly not actual fish bone.
